Danvita

Client

A privately-owned bakery in Zarasai, Lithuania, Danvita have been producing and shipping their range of flatbreads across Europe since 1994.

Background

Paramount Packaging Systems were approached by Danvita in 2018 at the IBA Bakery Exhibition in Munich, Germany. Keen to increase efficiencies and speed on their production line, whilst also keeping their pack as tight as possible to aid with packing and appearance, Danvita wanted to explore the range of Fuji packaging machines on offer.

Solution

To give Danvita a closer insight into Fuji’s range of form-fill-seal equipment, Aaron Bessell, Sales Director at Paramount Packaging Systems, ran through the machine’s standout features at the 6-day event, with a particular focus on its ability to increase packing speeds and improve efficiencies.

Impressed with the demonstration and keen to get the ball rolling, the customer reported back to their facility in Lithuania and arranged for sample products and film to be sent to Paramount’s HQ in Hampshire.

Paramount received the product a few days later, and having sized up its dimensions, factoring in the film material and taking into consideration the pack’s tightness, recommended the Fuji FW3410B CX wrapper.

A demonstration took place at Paramount’s state-of-the-art showroom to ensure the customer was satisfied with the machine’s functions.

Prior to the machine being shipped over to Lithuania, Danvita explained that the machine would be installed on the first floor of the bakery, and therefore would need to be transported up their 2-metre wide lift! Fortunately, due to the flexibility of the Fuji wrapper range, Paramount’s team of engineers were able to dismantle the machine into compartments that would fit inside the lift, then swiftly install it on the first floor.

Outcome

“Having had the wrapper for 6 months, the customer had noticed a marked increase in speed on the production line. The wrapper has even given their flatbread products an improved pack look which is an added bonus! Getting the wrapper lifted up to the first floor of the factory was certainly a challenge for our engineers, but thankfully Fuji’s machines can be adapted to fit in most spaces, which made the job a lot easier. We wish Danvita the best of luck and look forward to working with them in the future” comments Aaron.
