Paramount’s Operations Manager saddles up for charity bike ride
Next month, Paramount’s very own Darren Bull will be donning the lycra in a charity bike ride in aid of Cure Leukaemia, a charity which helps blood cancer patients access pioneering drug and transplant treatments.
Along with a group of friends, Darren and the team will be cycling 250 miles from Southampton to Liverpool in support of their friend Archie who was diagnosed with leukaemia in August 2018.
Archie is a passionate Liverpool supporter (who also enjoys the odd Southampton game here and there), and so what better route to take (literally!) than cycling between the two locations.
Darren’s group, The Legends, will be leaving Southampton on Friday 10 May, heading through the North Wessex Downs, then onto the Cotswolds, before eventually arriving in Hereford some 130 miles later. Day 2 takes them through the Welsh hills to Wrexham, before a final day sprint (loose term!) to Liverpool on Sunday 12 May, in time to watch their final match of the season.
Archie has been battling with leukaemia each day, but with the support of his incredible friends and family, he’s been able to overcome any challenge that’s been thrown at him. Off the back of the amazing support the public has shown, The Legends have managed to raise an incredible £17,400+ for Cure Leukaemia so far, but they’d love to hit their total.
Darren and the team are planning more fundraising activities for 2019, so watch this space!
Every donation is greatly appreciated by Darren and his friends. If you would like to help The Legends reach their fundraising target of £20,000, then please donate here.
